Video Editing

If you have the right tool, a job is so much easier. Anytime I have to do something on my car, I know that I'm going to get mad and frustrated because I have a $20 set of tools, literally.
I've really been getting frustrated with my video editing software lately. I mean, it's cute and easy and all, but it absolutely STINKS! It freezes up on weird things. It won't burn when I change the menu audio or image. It won't let me quickly move frame-by-frame. It makes me want to shoot something, and I'm a fairly paficistic guy.
So now I really want Adobe Premiere. It's only $800. Will you buy it for me? Thanks. Email me for my shipping address. JM

Noah Singing

Noah's choir sang for the first time in big church today. It was awesome. All of the children's choirs sang the song together, but the littlest kids just sang the chorus.
Noah never put his little magnifying glass down. Here's the video from this morning. He's the cute one in the middle. JM

Radiohead Debut

Radiohead will make their debut at my church on Sunday. I used one of their songs as a background on a promo video I made for an upcoming MS event. They're putting TV's all over our church - big ones in the hang out rooms and smaller ones in all of the classrooms. So here's the video I made. Radiohead create such a cool vibe. JM

Take What They Give You

So many churches and organizations are looking for publicity and marketing ideas, but they don't know where to find it. I just ran across one for my community (south metro Atlanta). The local paper now lets you upload user submitted videos to their site. I'm going to video our Easter egg hunt coming up this week and see if I can upload it. It should be fairly easy to edit.
Cool idea by the local paper to use youtube to host the videos. JM

Video

I love having my laptop because I don't have to deal with the internet filter that's on the computers at church. Not that I'm trying to get to porn or anything, but my wife can get to myspace, I can use google image search, and I can go on youtube. I've been reading about how to film and edit video here, so it makes me want to design stuff for my ministry. I'm trying to think of something I can do to promote an upcoming program or event. I'm also enjoying finding old music videos to kind of relive my childhood. Here's a good one. JM
