Frequency

I haven't been posting lately.  I might be done.  Not sure.  I think I'm going to give it one last go for like 30 days and if I see benefit from it, then I'll keep going.  My blog has always been for my benefit, so if it's not benefitting me, then I either have to change purposes or nix it.  We'll see what happens.  JM

I Miss You

I really do miss you - blogging and the kind readers that visit here. I shall return. I just can't say when. It will be soon. I work well off of deadlines, so let's say this blog will return to having regular posts again on 04.21.08. Posting will remain sporadic until then. Sorry. No internet at home and really busy right now. But I do miss you. JM

Tomorrow Never Comes

I keep thinking that I'll start posting regularly tomorrow, but it just hasn't happened. So hopefully tomorrow I will. If you were forced to watch that stupid quarterlife show the other day like I was, you'll be happy to know that it will never happen again because it got cancelled after just one airing. JM

Baby Brooklyn

My schedule is starting to normalize. What is incredible is Brooklyn's sleep schedule. She sleeps almost all night long. She'll usually wake up somewhere between 4:30 and 5:30 and then fall asleep again until about 8:00 or so. It's awesome. That being said, I should start posting again tomorrow. I know you can't wait. JM

Tonight, Tonight, Tonight

Oh, oh! (I return).

What the?

If you came here for whatever reason, you're probably expecting content, and I'm not giving it. I'm sick. My son is sick. My wife is having contractions. Stuff is still happening, though. I'll fill you in at some point. JM

Stress

I hate feeling stressed. I am right now. I'm going to bed. I'll get back on schedule with posting tomorrow. JM

Shoot

Sorry. My last few days have been pretty busy. I'll catch up tomorrow night on posting. JM

Work Party

Tomorrow is our work Christmas party and I'm in charge of designing the game. I'm going to be up for a while doing this. I'll post something exciting that happened to me today tomorrow. I'm continually amazed at the generosity of my church and the people in it. JM

No Posts

I'll return to posting tomorrow. I took my laptop with me on Thanksgiving vacation, but not my charger, so it didn't do me a lot of good. We got back home a couple of hours ago. It's so good to be back in my house. I love it. JM

Stuff

A lot of stuff is happening right now that I can't talk about publicly. I'll talk about it on 12.02. Until then. JM

Big Day

Tomorrow will be an interesting day for me. I have to have a couple of tough conversations in the morning and then drive for 9 hours up to St. Louis to see my kids. I'll post my final thoughts from the NYWC on Tuesday. JM

Where'd You Go?

Sorry about the sporadic nature of the posts lately. Last night I fell asleep with Noah and missed the time that I normally take to read and write. Tomorrow morning we'll be up early to take the kids up to Paducah to meet my mother-in-law. So there probably won't be any posts until Friday.
We're voting on a Japanese pastor at our church on Sunday and they mentioned we needed a song to play while we took up the votes. This was my suggestion:

So Much To Do

I can't sleep right now. I keep making lists in my mind of all the things that I need to do. I feel like I am cramped for time and need to accomplish so much. Whenever I start thinking like this I always think of this passage from Mark:
A very strong wind came up on the lake. The waves came over the sides and into the boat so that it was already full of water. Jesus was at the back of the boat, sleeping with his head on a cushion. His followers woke him and said, "Teacher, don't you care that we are drowning!" Jesus stood up and commanded the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind stopped, and it became completely calm.

We like to look at our circumstances and not at God. We look at what's going on around us and get overwhelmed. All the while, God is simply waiting for us to let Him step in and take over. The problem is we refuse to just be still. JM

Not All There

Sorry about the lack of posts lately. I'm storing up some links and articles, but don't have the time right now to post them. I should have more time on Saturday. Until then...JM

Break

Sorry about the lack of posts recently. I should be back up and running this Friday. I've been busy getting ready to start the new church year, trying to get into a routine at home, and earnestly praying about some stuff in my life.
More to come. JM

Relaxing

Today we did nothing. Well, kind of. We've gone to 8 graduation parties over the course of the last two weekends, and just felt really busy, so today we kind of just chilled. We went to home depot and got some flowers, and Eryn went to the grocery store, but that's really about it. It was nice to be able to just hang out and do nothing. It's the kind of day that helps you enjoy the time you have with your family. JM

Stinking Busy

Man, I haven't posted in two days, that's pretty messed up for me since I normally post like 4 times a day. We're busy getting ready for disciple now, my mother-in-law came in town tonight, I have friends from St. Louis coming in tomorrow night, we've cleaned the house, and I'm trying to fix my car. So yeah, I'm pretty slammed with stuff to do right now. Hopefully I'll have some time to get some thoughts down tomorrow. JM

Busy

I'm so stinking busy right now. I have to finish preparations for our ski trip on Wednesday, prepare lessons for the Crucible, prepare for our Sunday night concert of prayer, prepare for our Wednesday night student prayer night, and plan out our spring ministry dates for an informational flyer. I'll post when I get a chance to catch up on things, but don't expect a lot the next couple of days. Until then. JM
